Arani Ilankuberan

Having successfully completed BA English and American Literature and MA in Education: Culture, Language and Identity at Goldsmiths, University of London; Arani Ilankuberan is now a PhD student here at the University’s Education Department working on her thesis which explores British Tamil Hindu identity and Tamil Hindu devotional films.

Arani is currently part of the BeLiFS team and is working with the Sri Lankan Tamil Hindu/Saiva community in London of which she is and has been a part of since her youth. She takes part actively in community events and volunteers as a Tamil language teacher for young children at Nalvar Tamil Academy.
